Friday Five

  1. I am working on creating a new scrapbook kit to give away to anyone who likes it again. This one is going to be Halloween themed. I am thinking of creating link where you can go to get all my freebies or to bring up all my freebies here. Would you like that?
  2. I had a great day yesterday. We got groceries and I did so good on the budget that we had enough money left over to get some pizza for a treat for supper. When we got groceries, I even had enough money to get a few treats with our groceries instead of just the basics. I got pears and strawberries and avocados instead of just meat and potatoes. It was a good day.
  3. Princess Mag-pie slept the whole time we were out and was a happy pleasant girl when we got home. I went to Mother Goose again yesterday and she fell asleep there too. I had fun though talking to the other mothers.
  4. I had her weighed while I was there and she has gained 1 lb 3 oz in the last two weeks. She is now 12 lbs 10 oz! I am so glad. And the nurse measured her head and told me that it is perfectly normal and that the previous nurse was young and didn't know what she was talking about when she said that Princess Mag-pie's head was a little large. Apparently she was born with her head in the 95% and now she is in the 90%. So instead of her head going into a larger percentile she is actually coming down a little.
  5. Princess Belle was outside playing with her little friend the other day. I looked out the window and I could see them looking into a box that the little boy had gotten from home. I noticed the little boy digging his hands into the box and then offering it to Princess Belle for her to do the same. I didn't know what it was but I left it alone. I was washing dishes and looking out the window at them when I noticed the little boy open a car door. I watched carefully because while I thought it was probably belonging to his family (it did) I didn't know if anyone knew that the kids were there. All the while I was watching, I was thinking to myself, "Princess Belle, don't get into the car. Don't get into the car. Don't get into the car." Apparently she couldn't hear my mental telepathic message and the next thing I knew the little boy moved in further into the car and waved for Princess Belle to climb in. As she started to climb in, I hollored to Prince Charming, "Go get her out of that car! I am elbow deep in dinner dishes!" After a few minutes talking to her, Prince Charming came in, laughing, "I asked Princess Belle what she had in the box. She told me it was pie. I asked her where she had gotten it and she said that her friend had got it from his house. (bearing in mind her little friend is only three) I asked if his mom and dad had given them the pie or if they had taken it themselves. And as it turns out, her young friend, with Princess Belle making no objections at all, had gone into his house and hijacked an almost full coconut cream pie from the fridge when no one was looking. and they proceeded to sit on our front lawn and eat said pie by the handful with their bare hands without the benefit of plates or cutlery." Prince Charming and I laughed ourselves silly over the whole thing. Life is never boring when you have kids to entertain you.
